Judo Excellence Club Championships Sunday, 12th Jul 2009
 Fantastic fun at championships.
 

On Sunday 12th July, the club held its club championships.

This event is aimed primarily at the 5-8 year olds and the novice judoka, though some of the bigger, more experienced players also competed.

The event was a resounding success with parents, grandparents and fellow club members all being supportive of each other.

The results were as follows:

under 8's pool 1:     1st  Sam Bend, 2nd  Kyran Lewis,  3rd Reece, 4th Oliver.

    pool 2      1st Herbie, 2nd Denis, 3rd Erin, 4th Fred, 5th Connor

   pool 3       1st Will Toye, 2nd Alex Shield, 3rd Lewis

   pool 4       1st Rory, 2nd Bethany, 3rd Carter

   pool 5       1st Wilf, 2nd Riley, 3rd Ross

under 10's    1st Ben Whitehead, 2nd Jack Williams, 3rd Harry, 4th Jensen

pool 2          1st Sam, 2nd Jake, 3rd Alfie Mellor, 4th Sam Murphy, 5th Will Jackson

under 12's    1st Filip, 2nd Tommy, 3rd Andy.

pool 2          1st Zak, 2nd Will Rook, 3rd Skye, 4th Joshua.

under 16's    1st Paul, 2nd James, 3rd Bradley, 4th Miles 5th Lucy.

The club also awarded the following trophies for judoka of the day.

Coaches, Jim and Karen also presented the Judoka of the Year to Keiran Turner.

Well done to all those that took part in the day, the standard of judo was very good and the judo etiquette was also good. It was really nice to see all the parents supporting the players particularly the younger ones....Thank you.
